Germany is bringing back the EV subsidies for all households with a family income between 40,000 – 60,000 Euros (NZD 80,000 – 120,000) after ending the previous subsidy scheme two years back. The move is seen as an aim to make EVs more affordable to lower and middle income families and has been welcomed by unions that have been voicing their concern regarding a socio economic disparity in the clean energy transition.
